title: Determination of Natural Radionuclides Concentrations and Radiological Hazard Index due to Application of Condisoil

abstract: The purpose of this study was to determine the concentration of natural radionuclides (226Ra, 228Ra and 40K) in soil, water and plants as well as transfer factor from soil to plant and radiological hazard index due to the use of Condisoil®.
Four soil samples, 14 water samples and 4 plant samples were analyzed using ray spectrometry system
gamma. The results of the study found that the range of activity concentrations of 226Ra, 228Ra and 40K in the soil sample using
    Condsoil® are 13.8 - 17.6, 15.7 - 21.0 and 44.5 - 57.7 Bq kg-1 respectively. The concentration range of activity 226Ra, 228Ra and 40K in plant samples were 5.0 - 18.5, 0.1 - 1.5 and 42.7 - 321.8 Bq kg - 1 respectively. For samples
    water, range of activity concentrations for 226Ra, 228Ra and 40K radionuclides are 0.3 - 0.9, 0.3 - 3.9 and 1.4 - 11.6
Bq L-1. Range of radionuclide transfer factors 226Ra, 228Ra and 40K from soil to plant are respectively
0.42 - 0.71, 0.01 - 0.08 and 0.85 - 5.34. The purpose of this study was to determine the concentration of natural radionuclides (226Ra, 228Ra and 40K) in soil, water and plants

0.42 - 0.71, 0.01 - 0.08 and 0.85 - 5.34. Radiological hazard assessment finds the radium equality index below the proposed limit value of 370 Bq kg-1. In this regard, the study found that Condisoil® was used as a soil improvement material does not cause natural radionuclides to the environment as well as does not bring about the risk of radiological harm to humans.
