The radium equality index (Raeq) is a hazard index
radiology used to assess radiological hazards
arising from natural radionuclides in something
material. The value of radium equality index and factor
radionuclides transfer from soil to plant
is shown in Table 6. Results of the study find
Raeq range for both planting season is
42.7 to 50.7 Bq kg-1, which is much lower than that
the proposed limit value of 370 Bq kg-1 for land
(UNSCEAR 1982). Therefore, the risk of radiological hazards as a result
the use of Condisoil® can be neglected and this material
considered suitable for use in agriculture.
In addition, the transfer factor range of 226Ra, 228Ra
and 40K for both planting season respectively
    is 0.42 - 0.71, 0.01 - 0.08 and 0.85 - 5.34. Decision
the study found that radionuclide transfer factor values
as determined in this study is equivalent to value
reported for various types of crops in the study
    (Almayahi et al., 2014; Asaduzzaman et al., 2015;
Gaffar et al. 2014; Saeed et al. 2011; Solehah et al. 2016).
Little difference in value of radionuclide transfer factor for
The plant may be caused by the transport process
as well as different absorption capacity (Solehah et al.
2016). Difference of radionuclide transfer factor also
influenced by soil type, soil texture, content
clay, pH and organic matter content (Carini &
    Bengtsson 2001).
