Hmmm, interesting question.

If the project was taken over by a bigger more powerful company, here is a positive and negative impact (from my perspective).

Positive - In the event a major issue occurred (i.e., widespread contamination of the groundwater), a larger company may have more resources available to remedy the situation.

Negative - Every new player adds a level of complexity when attempting to resolve issues. At least in the case of Black Range, we know who the players are.

It has always appeared to me that Black Range could not take this project to completion on their own, but honestly, I don't know if that is the case or not.
