lol... you're very new to the RAP threads, aren't you!
The issue of sound engineering was chewed over and over endlessly until every possible thing had been said three times by each poster! Microphone bandwidths and responsiveness, variation in microphone quality between various brands of phone, ambient sound, echoes, damping... before we got to the end of it I had tears of boredom squirting out of my eyes.
We discussed the effects of accents, nutritional impacts such as body-fat levels affecting resonance.
We discussed the nature of learning algorithms, their effectiveness, their adaptability, their robustness. We spoke about over-fitting and strategies to reduce it.
We had people with experience working or living in third world countries, in emergency departments, in medical clinics who questioned the way the product would be used and the impact that would have on its applicability.
People rang or emailed the company and passed on answers, or undertakings to provide answers that were later fulfilled.
Perhaps it's the medium MightyChina, but you come across as just a little bit pompous at times and this is a prime example of it. Because you didn't see the technical questioning and the are and detail with which we dealt with these issues, you've assumed that it didn't happen.
And because we have some posters who are absolutely foaming with optimism, humanity, and unreserved bonhomie over the clearly apparent upside potential of ResappDx you have assumed that we never discussed the risks or had reservations. You have assumed that we are all just like blind children "parroting" what we've been told.
Many of us have taken enormous care, spent many hours doing the research. And those of us who had knowledge or research too great care and considerable time to share, question, argue and discuss it right here on HotCopper.
So I am truly and deeply offended by having you come along and chide us in your condescending manner as you have, and criticising our lack of insight and the blindness of our faith.
Perhaps you would come across as more constructive and less patronising if you were to frame some of your material as questions or observations rather than statements of absolute fact. Try "did you consider the sound engineering..." or "perhaps I missed the discussion of..."
