My original point, once US RCT results didn't match the algorithm results, was that one or the other was awry.
A double-blind, RCT is the gold standard amongst researchers.
It provides Level 1 evidence.
The original Oz study was not.
And therefore, cannot be considered Level 1 evidence.
Thus, unfortunately for holders, the US study trumps the Oz study, and you're left with the current sp today.
Until you get a DB-RCT to replicate the Oz study results, the sp will languish or be at the mercy of traders.
The algorithm is supposed to be robust and be used in rural/Third World conditions. It's supposed to work in busy ERs so nurses can diagnose and allow docs to do other tasks.
It's very disappointing that it hasn't been proven to work in one of the main places it should.
Yet.
Will it ever? Who knows? There's plenty on here who think it will. And plenty who don't.

Thanks for your clarification. So much has been posted. Too many to go through to be honest. A lot of 'noise'. Does not help with fact finding. But I appreciate your input here. Very clear and concise. Much appreciated.
