Amazon continues to demonstrate its interest in the smart home security market, with the giant acquiring the hugely successful video doorbell company Ringvalued at US$1bn.

This bodes well for Scout Security (SCT:ASX) and has thepotential to open up massive opportunities to access Ring’s base of customers .  Given Scout’s strong relationship with Amazon, we would expect integrating Scout and Ring would be a top priority.

The success of Ring and Amazon’s move into the space also highlights the attractiveness of the market that Scout is firmly positioned in.  Scout will be launching its camera in March and may look to expand its product range even further to capture this growing market.
