Site Visit to JDCPhosphate Plant - Fort Meade

JDCPhosphate was founded in 2008 to commercialize its patented Improved Hard Process for the production of high purity phosphoric acid from low-grade phosphate rock. This thermal process employs a ported rotary kiln as the principle reaction vessel to recover and burn phosphorus from phosphate rock and produce phosphoric acid in a standard hydrator. No phosphogypsum is produced; rather a salable aggregate companion product is made.
The company has constructed a large-scale demonstration plant at its Fort Meade site, approximately an hour and a quarter from Tampa.
Delegates attending the tour will have a presentation on the fundamentals of the technology and its attributes and will be given a plant tour as well.

The tour will depart and return from the Tampa Marriott Waterside.
