Your theory of mechanical issues sounds very valid trader. I'm interested to see how many frac stages were used on Abunda, as Range's results seem to imply that alot of companies are 'under-fraccing' their wells for optimal results.

Range Resources have been very densely spacing frac stages on their horizontals. The well in which they participated with AOK, they fracced 19 stages over 3,900 feet of lateral. Their type curve is based on 2,200 feet of lateral, which consists of 12 frac stages.

Additionally in the future we could see 10,000 feet extended (or dual) laterals similar to what alot of Bakken companies are using.
