shorts last longer than a day from what Ive seen. But not sure what difference intra day vs greater than 1 day would mean.. can it not play out over multiple accounts, multiple days, multiple brokers ?

I genuinely dont know but looking at volumes on B/O at times it wouldn't take much to move it. Particularly with speeads like today.

Would you agree vol avg say 2.5m a day past 6 months ? Cant seem to get a CSV easily so Im just guessing but thats what c 1/3 the book? Duration is the key here ... I'll leave that for you to pick up.

Theres a lot of FOs and that scale of investor out there. I suppose its got to fit the mandate and having dealt with some instos mandates this is definitely premature. So good points, but as you say wouldnt necessarily imply a singular participant.
