The new CEO John McKinstry has been there barely three weeks. He needs longer than that to get things moving.
Here's a part the statement made at the time of his appointment on 24th January last:-
"Carrick Gold Chairman Laurence Freedman AM said Mr McKinstry?s skills will be very valuable to Carrick Gold as it continues the transformation from explorer to develop its production capabilities.
?The Board has prioritised moving toward production and is fully focused on corporate governance, implementing management controls and transparency in reporting.?
?We have a major exploration program planned for 2011 with the aim of moving towards achieving production in the 2012 financial year.?
?Finally,? Mr Freedman said, ?the Company continues to make great strides in this transformational phase and we will be reporting to shareholders both directly and through our new and interactive website at www.carrickgold.com.?
It's whole new ball game now. Carrick is no longer concentrating in building up its resources in the ground as Frank did. It's now about getting those resources out of the ground. I'm content to wait and happy to pick up more shares as they become available at very low prices.
I would fully expect there will be a significant upgrade of the resource into the indicated and measured category before long. That is necessary to begin mining.
