He did go in way too hard apparently; by sending the first planeload from China to Christmas Island for 14 days.
ScoMo and the GOV'T copped it then from every media quarter and from most 'letters to the editor' and blog sites etc.
Every TV station had a reporter asking the island public for a negative opinion on the use of the island for quarantine as well as from any Tom, Dick or Harry on city streets back here in Aust.
So many media darlings said it wasn't necessary back then but have switched tunes since.
