No, the risk is not gas quality, the risk is producibility. With a previous dscovery already have been made back in the '7o's/80's or wenever, these boys were always going to encounter a gas bearing zone. The real risk is not whether gas will be struck, but if gas is struck can it be produced, meaning will the permeability of the formation allow flow of gas through the reservoir in a rate that is sufficiently economic.
In short: can we find gas? no problem. Can we produce gas in volumes that are economic? well, that's another story. My bet is a sober outcome, meaning a reservoir that's hot,tight and hard. I could be wrong however. good luck.
