Time will indeed tell. I have made up my mind on the link between the two. It's too late to make up your mind once the Gold to Silver ratio recedes in a matter of days / weeks. It's only been above the current ratio 2 time before this latest run, and reverted strongly each time. Good on you if you hold the opposite view.
Btw - silver increased in value by more than 15% in 2019. Not bad for a metal that should be slowing down because of industrial demand.
