Diatreme Resources (ASX:DRX) has further assays which confirm the
potential of the Wanna Lakes mineral sands, Western Australia.
The Cyclone prospect discoveries, and to a lesser degree the
Hurricane prospect, are seen as a significant discovery within the Eucla
Basin heavy minerals province.
Assays at 5pc HM and over 4.5m thick include 6m at 11.49pc, 4.5m
at 10.63pc, 6m at 6.26pc, 7.5m at 5.53pc, 4.5m at 7.86pc, 6m at 9.19pc,
9m at 6.97pc, 6m at 9.22pc and 4.5m at 8.69pc.
The potential to locate further zircon rich HM sands in the Wanna
Lakes area is very high.
Expected extensions to the current drilling results and the
existence of further older high stand fossil shorelines are yet to be
drill tested, this work planned for the 2008 field season.
