    ppm,
Once again HC hasn't sorted the problem that doesn't allow replies to specific posts.

Anyway, this is in response to the NASA employee's claim about evolution.

"Many religious persons, including many scientists, hold that God created the universe and the various processes driving physical and biological evolution and that these processes then resulted in the creation of galaxies, our solar system, and life on Earth. This belief, which sometimes is termed 'theistic evolution,' is not in disagreement with scientific explanations of evolution. Indeed, it reflects the remarkable and inspiring character of the physical universe revealed by cosmology, paleontology, molecular biology, and many other scientific disciplines."

The Theory of Evolution is based on some random mutations becoming dominant only because they have a better chance of surviving and reproducing themselves than the others do opposed to competing theories involving outside intervention from a deity or deities (theist evolution) and therefore is in conflict with religion.

I agree with most the remainder of the NAS quote.

Personally, I prefer robust debates based on obvious differences from different approaches to the one that appears to sugarcoat differences.

Just because a person works for NASA doesn't mean that that person has a knowledge of all science, and shouldn't be challenged.
