@RhysD@Yarnos20 - this is where I think substance crosses over with process. I think we're mostly agreed that it's about the process of non-disclosure at this point, rather than the substance of why Hinrich voted the way he did.
That's the problem with a conflict of interest. You may have the best reasoning in the world, but the non-disclosure of your actual (and not potential) conflict taints your vote irreparably. Other members disclosed their conflict, and were allowed to serve. You could ask the rhetorical question - if you had such good reasoning, then why did you conceal your conflict of interest in the first place?
Where the substance of Hinrich's reasoning comes in is where the FDA's problem starts. They adopted it holus bolus and paid no regard to the other 9 votes.
