Well I take the view that Hinrichs was simply doing his job as an expert to examine the evidence. It would have been negligent not to do so, it's why he's there to give expert testimony. He didn't make the decision, he simply cast a vote like the other experts. The FDA did. They could have ignored his opinion and testimony if they felt it was biassed or irrelevant.
The substance of his testimony is reasonable. Instead of attacking the linesman's personal life and blaming the ref, look at the evidence... or lack of it.
