Even at a reduced volume isnt 100 million tonnes plus of iron ore at net $10 a tonne a billion surplus cashflow.
There seems to be a range of costs estimated for producton for FMG but at all the ones I have seen they are still making a surplus.
So if they can service their debt isnt about timing of repayment.
Hard things for workers but if they trimmed expenditure within available funds isnt that what they are supposed to do.
If prices went sub 60 per tonne then that is another story.
