BE - the MC is decided by the market not added to by a company etc and that calculation is universal - even in the US. It is just simple math and a way to tell whether the company is being valued higher or lower than before. Yes as cash is used a SP usually declines in anticipation of a cr but it usually happens in the last 6 months because prior to that shareholders are valuing the company more on its achievements/progress/potential (I am talking cash burn dicovery companies not dividend stocks).
Not sure about the other question - that is a fairly US centric view of workplaces though - the boss in cracking the whip etc I never thought to ask but I assume the 2 heads are in the lab at least 50% of the time they are in country but whether they work from home or office I don't know (care).
