As an American holder of Alkane on the OTC market here (ALKEF), I too received shares instead of cash. I was very excited at first, until I found out they are in what's called the "Grey Market". They are listed as ASMMF here, on the over the counter market. The brokers at TD Ameritrade (where my accounts are held) told me there is currently no liquidity with these shares. They said that can change as the company grows. I hope that's true, because it's frustrating to see my ASM account up almost 200% and no trading taking place. Maybe in the long run it will be good, because it will force me to hold them instead of selling, like I've been tempted to do (even though I can't)!!
