Technically you have 3 days to pay up or sell, so pay the difference or collect the profits...

However in my experience commsec sometimes stuffs up if you are buying / selling a stock you already have.

i.e. you are BHP and then buy some more and then sell out of that top up within 3 days... This is risky.

Best to always have the spare cash..
