Sorry this should be in a new post but can't get it to work. Anyways - Apollo recently hired a new president, Marc Spilker.
Spilker comes out of retirement after having worked at Goldman Sachs were he was a member of the Management Committee and Co-Head of Investment Management (which Goldman's Fund of Fund falls under). Perhaps it is nothing and he will be focused on more big picture stuff, but this is timely and too coincidental in my opinion.

Regardless he will be a great sounding board for HFA/LHP management and not a bad reference for when it comes time for big institutions to write checks.
