well, nobody really knows what transpired ... so if we are going to throw theories out there, how about one more?

Anteo had a plan, and had players where they wanted them ... they just needed some leverage to finalise the deal. They laid it on the table for Diasource at the last minute, got their agreement to change the deal, and threw the CN holder a bone with the termination payment, knowing that the deal was far better without the cn in play....

That may be why the CN deal was never really detailed for share holders, why names were never named. Perhaps there was never any intention of going through with it .....
