CATL, the largest Chinese Lithium Battery maker, aka, the largest Lithium Battery maker in the world, is already, addressing your ..'backup batteries' worries, by creating a whole new sub-branch of batteries, intended just for, that 'specific purpose', called, 'Sodium-Ion Batteries' which, although they are heavier, and less energy dense, and not as Coulombic efficient, Ohh, and less Flammable, as well, than Lithium Batteries are, they are also very much cheaper, to manufacture, which means, that they, are ..ideally ..suited to use in ..'Stationary Batteries', such as your own mentioned ..'backup batteries', for storing excess, Solar, and Wind Generated Power, in.

The additional, benefit, of this, is that it also helps to remove some of the pressure off Lithium, and leaves more of ..it, available, to be used instead for the best intended purpose, which, as we all should know, by now, is in ..Transportation, of ..all, sorts...!

And the last time I looked, the global demand for Electric powered Transport, of all sorts, was going absolutely, ...GangBusters...!

You are quite right that the EV revolution is going gangbusters and that is great for us as Li Investors. This EV transformation will further increase the demand for power across the globe and in my opinion, and many others, solar and wind and questionable storage capacity of the world's power grid, won't cut it. PS My U investments were on a par with the PLS rise today and actually outstripped them in the last couple of months. I think there is a growing awareness where the answer lies.
