As for all those regional communities which rely on rain and water flowing through the Murray-Darling Basin, at least in Victoria we have a desalination plant to offset the growing demands Melbourne is placing on dwindling rainfall and freshwater resources. The likes of Barnaby Joyce can shoot his mouth off until the cows come home but that won't tackle climate change and as sure as night follows day farming practices are going to have to change to reflect higher temperatures and less water.

I am surprised you have raised the indigenous issue.
Just yesterday I considered making note here of just how little Bill said about remote indigenous issues and the deplorable state of affairs when it comes to abuse statistics.
What little Bill offered was token gestures, not real solutions.
