If you look back through the history of Medusa / X64 you will realise that the share price has been subdued for a very long time. I think this action by the board has been a game changer and has most likely removed most if not all the impediments for a successful company. This is the first time in the companies 20 year odd history that something like this has happened. The EGM will lay many of the issue bare and I'm sure many in the financial community will have their eyes on it.
I understand the frustration of any short sellers and traders - missing the opportunity to trade on the whipsawing facts emerging over time. For us longer term holders I believe it will be good news going forward. My opinion only. .DYOR
