Aconex Deutschland (Germany): Conject Integration concluded
The Australia Aconex Ltd., supplier of a cloud-based and mobile project platform for the global construction industry, officially opened its new subsidiary Aconex Deutschland.
Thus concludes the integration of Conject Holding GmbH, begun on 1 April 2016 with the EUR 65 million acquisition of the Munich enterprise.
Andreas Hofherr, will operate as general manager for Central Europe from the new offices at Baierbrunner Strasse 15 in Munich-Obersendling.
“The integration allows us new perspectives for developing additional segments resp. business areas”, Hofherr told TD. For instance, in the German-speaking region there will be “stronger placement of solutions for large transport infrastructure projects”.
Aconex sees the necessity for comprehensive, broad ranging investments in this sector and the great need on the part of users for stable, effective and sustainable processes.
Hofherr intends to increase the staff of the Munich office from its current 70 to a strength of 90 in the medium term.
The cloud project platform and the solution portfolio of Aconex, founded in Melbourne in 2000, are also used worldwide in the largest and most complex property and infrastructure projects as well as in the energy and primary commodities sectors.
Thus the enterprise covers all project phases from feasibility, planning and tender to design and construction and even to commissioning and maintenance, also allowing cooperation transcending the project using Building Information Modeling (BIM).
Aconex clients include developers and owners, general contractors, engineers and planning offices as well as construction firms worldwide. More that 70,000 user firms in 70 countries currently use the platform. Currently it is listed on the Sydney stock exchange and is present with 47 branch offices in 23 countries.
