Bit more on the subject. Global average recovery factor (RF) is 35 - 40%, so if SNE can achieve that then the JV are getting close to the magic 1 bill mark.
Also discusses enhanced recovery techniques which BP have used to achieve an RF of 60%. This (EOR) from memory is something FARJOY mentioned in that post.
Plenty more on the subject on the net.
Also had a look at the article in Ya's post. Looks as though the JV are treading a similar path.
