Have a look at the accompanying notes. Only automatic on new rules if amount sought is less than $2m. The JOA arbitration agreement was in existence prior to March 2017 so would require mutual agreement to use expedited process under new rules. It is in the extensive legal notes in the link I posted above to Mr H. The point is not how different the rules are but more the time limits applied and how the old ones can drag out the process. Works in FAR favour IMO.
