    Pretty simple really... and there are many ways... this would be just one:
    FAR preepmt 35% ( and noting that FAR will assume all existing rights COP holds under trhe JOA... including to takeover operatorship)
    FAR allows Total to acquire 30% of the 35% plus rights to operatorship at same price which WPL paid for 35% (noting also there is now 14% more barrels in the 35%) so the 30% at same WPL price will still be a steal for Total...
    FAR gains 5% without spending a dollar.
    Take it a bit further..
    FAR has PE right if CNE wishes to sell down in future... FAR assigns those rights to ToTAL for an extra bit of free carry, ensuring that no other players can enter the game down the track..(starting to think whether this is something that CNE and WPL may have discussed/agreed on the sideline)..and
    FAR offers farm-in opportunity to Total for another bit of extra free carry.etc etc
    Right now I don't see that happening with WPL... not with the tensions in the air.
