I HATE TO SAY IT but I think that a lot of these companies think , not of shareholders, but of other things. Bonuses, power, prestige. They often appear trustworthy, but certainly don't work for shareholders, except keeping in mind their own shares.
They will do just about anything to help themselves (including FAR management) Back door deals....giving Senegal away for 2.3 bo....give me a break....that money will hardly pay off their debts, or even pay shareholders a dividend. What other deals were done that no one knows about. Shady deals. ?Brown paper bag deals? Can we trust anyone.....? But down the road, things are not going to be friendly with regards to partners, just smiles that don't tell the truth....and that is a worry.
Anyway that is done and dusted. I dont' trust big business executives ...cynic?/ Yes.
