ConocoPhillips Australia Browse Basin environmental studies

The Australian Petroleum Production & Exploration Association (APPEA) rewarded ConocoPhillips in May 2013 with an environment award for the Browse Basin Gas Development in north-west Western Australia.
SKM provided a suite of environmental studies to ConocoPhillips (COP) including marine environmental studies and surveys required to support the Browse Basin Gas Development Environmental Impact Assessment.

COP have also subcontracted SKM to manage geophysical/geotechnical/environmental data collection for a proposed route from Bayu Undan to Browse Basin. Work will be commencing shortly.
All good signs to commercialise the field. Will be interesting to see if Santos/COP join forces in the Browse as has been rumoured in other media reports.
