Most of you who read the posts here know that I have been saying that Cononish is just the beginning and as much as I love the high grades (14.3 g/t Au M&I ) and the low costs ( £327 per ounce ) of Cononish it's the rest that interests me .

On the 12th we Presented in London with Share Investor Evenings, I attended as did several other shareholders .

Several Questions where put to Richard Grey after ,one was of particular interest ,

Question to Richard Grey :
Given that Cononish is open at depth and on the west strike do you think a LOM extension is possible ?

Answer given by Richard Grey :
Very much so a 3 - 4 year life of mine extension would not be unrealistic at Cononish .

Given that I have heard the National Park board saying that it would be unrealistic to expect that they could refuse a LOM extension at Cononish because of the strong local support and the jobs that would be lost ,Cononish could run for a lot longer . The National Park Board is mainly made up of elected councillors so the power will always be with the local people ! One elected councillor voted against Scotgold back in the beginning , he wasn't a councillor for long after that .
