It may look chaotic and dysfunctional. But Conroy said the amendments were needed to remove uncertainties when the deal with Telstra is sealed, and he got them. (So he might have done the last minutes amendments purposely, knowing that most of the opposing sides wanted to go home! The same thing happened when the Telstra separation bill was put to the Senate. It's good (basic) tactic!)

As a shareholder I want the deal is sealed asap.
