conroy's latest nbn fiasco - $500k on beanies, page-34

For the last month or so the NBN crowd have been trying to lay cable over a 50 m or so stretch on aa road nearby. There is a creek running under the road between ends. On one end the machine was stuck in one place for well over a week and each day 2 other trucks and a team of mean were there. They then went away. Some 2 weeks later they have come back and are now doing the other side of the creek, again with a team of men and at least 2 other trucks. It looks like there are actually drilling horizontally to meet up with the other side. So that 50 m stretch is costing a motza!
