there are a few theories for the little ice age (also known as "moderate cooling in the northern hemisphere", but hey "ice age" is much more dramatic), including depopulation as well as solar cycles, ocean currents etc.
but your logic is cracked.
climate cycles come from many factors but that doesn't preclude modern society's contribution now.
