Although the Siumut Party yesterday agreed to mining Kvanefjeld (extract from KNR below) they have today, regrettably, elected Eric (W.L.) Jensen again as chairman.
It remains to be seen whether he will follow the Party's line or his own in regard to uranium.

Siumut: Raw materials to be extracted throughout the country "If there is no health hazard associated with mining throughout the country, this must be started and secure incomes" – it should now read in Siumut's party program after today's debate.
Until today, Siumut's political objectives, which were written down in Nuuk in November 2020, stated that they were in favour of mining in Kuannersuit and Kringlerne. This is still the case, but the wish now applies to the whole country after the topic was debated at the party's general assembly today.
