People said I was wrong when I said that conservatism was dying or dead and just looking for a place to lie down.
Do some still think this in the light of these results
Liberal Party of Australia - shattered
UK Conservatives - about to be put in the wombat ejector
France, Traditional right - shattered
America - conservative values gone, GOP gone far right to Trump
I said that it was impossible to have parties and governments that ran on conservative principles - to get practical policies that match conservative principles in an era of ultra rapidly changing technology
that was and is my theory - but, whatever has done it - conservative parties are dying or dead - falling off the perch en masse, littering the political scene with rotting corpses
the fleeing supporters have gone to progressive parties or far right -- there's nowhere much to go in the middle
can there still be any reasonable argument that they are not dead?
