This is a great time of year to kick back, and review your portfolio. To help with your research, I've compiled a summary of our current Projects, as I believe CXO is worth including in your review. Fingers crossed that 2017 might be a good year for us.

    Core’s Finniss Lithium Project:
Core’s Finniss Lithium Project covers a large portion of the Bynoe Lithium-Tantalum-Tin Pegmatite Field. This Field is a 15-20 kilometre wide belt of more than 90 tin and tantalum prospects and mines and lithium rich pegmatites which stretches over a distance of 75 kilometres south from Port Darwin and is one of the most prospective areas for lithium in the NT. Core’s Finniss Lithium Project has substantial infrastructure advantages being close to grid power, gas, and rail and services infrastructure and within easy trucking distance by sealed road to the multi-user port facility at Darwin Port - Australia’s nearest port to Asia.
RC drill assays from Far West North, Far West Central, Grants and other prospects from Core’s current Phase 2 RC drilling are expected over coming weeks and into early 2017.

    Far West Prospect
    (located 500m from Grants Prospect)
13/12/2016 - initial results of Phase 2 RC Drilling
Far West comprises a series of pegmatite bodies that have been intersected by drilling consistently over a 1,000m strike length between Far West North and Far West Central - they have the potential to deliver a series of interconnected pegmatite bodies of spodumene bearing pegmatite that combined, may represent a considerable volume of mineralised pegmatite.
A thick zone of high grade spodumene has been intersected during the first drilling program at Far West North (45m @ 1.57 Li2O FRC030). Other intersections at Far West North typically ranging from 5-15m true width.
Several 50-60m thick intersections of pegmatite have also been intersected at Far West Central.
Assays from the remainder of the initial RC drilling program at Far West North and Far West Central are expected in coming weeks.

    Grants Prospect
14/12/2016 - completed maiden diamond drilling program
All holes drilled at hit thick intersections of excellent quality coarse grained spodumene that is potentially amenable to processing to produce commercial grade spodumene concentrate. The green spodumene mineralisation makes up a substantial proportion of the entire pegmatite. Core anticipates strong lithium results from the assays from these diamond core holes in early December. Initial observations of the Grants core show that high grade lithium (as spodumene) is consistently present as a major rock forming mineral throughout 40m-50m thick, fully-cored pegmatite drill intersections.

7/12/2016 - High grade lithium assays of drill core confirm that diamond drilling at Grants Prospects have hit thick
    intersections of high grade spodumene mineralisation in all four diamond holes drilled, including: 42m @ 1.53% Li2O from 58m (FRCD001); 39m @ 1.55% Li2O from 69m (FRCD002); and 48m @ 1.53% Li2O from 70m (FRCD003).
Spodumene mineralisation is consistent throughout the Grants pegmatite, and has been intersected consistently over 40m-50m in all three fully cored diamond drillholes.  The spodumene is green at the Grants Prospect, and the spodumene crystals are usually large with some greater than 10cm.
A bulk sample from Grants of 400kg of large diameter HQ core is now at Nagrom metallurgical facilities in Perth, W.A for metallurgical test work to determine potential to produce commercial grade spodumene concentrate. Como Engineers are managing metallurgical test work and will provide preliminary engineering advice in early 2017. Como Engineers have an excellent track record with previous successful input to both Pilbara Minerals Ltd’s Pilgangoora Lithium Project and Galaxy Resources Ltd’s Mt Caitlin Lithium Project.
24/11/2016 - Diamond core returned from the first diamond drilling has consistently hit thick intersections of high grade spodumene mineralisation in all drill holes at the Grants Prospect.
    25/10/2016 - First Diamond Core Drilling includes: 49m @ 1.78% Li2O from 71m (FRC007); 40m @ 1.66% Li2O from 58m (FRC018).
    20/10/2016 - RC holes drilled showed significant levels of lithium mineralisation as spodumene intersected including: 40m @ 1.66% Li2O from 58m (FRC018);  10m @ 2.02% Li2O from 65m; 5m @ 2.05% Li2O from 84m; 1m @ 3.23% Li2O from 85m; 31m @ 1.61% from 68m (FRC017)
All holes hit pegmatite intersections over broad intervals of 30 – 50 metre widths (approximately 20-30m true width), containing high grades of lithium as spodumene mineralisation. The Grants Pegmatite outcrops for over 350m at surface and is consistently intersected in all drill sections and is open to the north and south'

    BP33 Prospect
7/12/2016 - High grade lithium assays of drill core confirm that diamond drilling at BP33 Prospects have consistently hit thick intersections of high grade spodumene mineralisation including 5m @ 2.53% Li2O; 34m @ 1.47% Li2O from 85m (FRCD004).
BP33 Prospect has both green and pink spodumene, and the spodumene crystals are usually large with some greater than 10cm.

    25/10/2016 - First Diamond Core Drilling includes: 34m @ 1.60% Li2O from 71m (FRC003)
Initial observations of the BP33 core show that high grade lithium as spodumene is almost ubiquitous throughout the first 40m fully-cored pegmatite drill intersection. As a result, Core has immediately commenced preparation for this large diameter HQ core and additional cored drillholes at Grants (once completed) to be sent for metallurgical test work to determine their potential to produce commercial grade spodumene concentrate.

    Ah Hoy Prospect
20/10/2016 - RC holes drilled showed significant levels of lithium mineralisation as spodumene intersected including:
    4m @ 2.01% from 83m; and 19m @ 0.68% Li2O (FRC014).
    ZOLA Prospect
3/11/2016 - Drill applications to potentially fast track the drilling of the large Zola pegmatites have been lodged
Reconnaissance mapping and careful research of historic reports has uncovered several large un-documented or poorly documented pegmatites. The large-scale Zola Pegmatite Prospect on newly granted EL 31126 includes a north-south trending swarm of pegmatites covering an area conservatively estimated at between 1-2 square kilometres.
The most important aspect of Zola is the scale. The outcrop of decomposed pegmatite and quartz blows extend for up to 1,500 m NS and could be as long as 2,000m under cover. Pegmatite material extends EW for at least 450m at surface, suggesting a substantial swarm of highly fractionated pegmatites.  The scale of the Zola Pegmatite prospect is directly comparable to the scale of pegmatites hosting large resources in the Pilgangoora region in Western Australia.

    Ringwood Prospect

3/11/2016 - Drill applications to potentially fast track the drilling of the large Ringwood pegmatites have been lodged.
The newly discovered Ringwood Pegmatite Swarm presents as pegmatite and quartz outcrop and float extends at least 2,000m long and 800m wide, and is directly comparable to the scale of lithium pegmatites in Western Australia.
Ringwood is positioned within a 6,000m long trend of previously unmapped pegmatites north from Mt Finniss Mine NT’s largest historically producing pegmatite mine that is also within Core’s Project. Spodumene mineralisation has also been recently drilled to the north of the Ringwood trend by Liontown (ASX:LTR) at the Sandra’s Pegmatite.

In addition to Core’s Finniss Lithium Project, there are the Anningie and Barrow Creek Lithium Projects in NT.
Core’s Anningie and Barrow Creek Lithium Projects. Encompass four Exploration Licence applications covering approximately 2,500 square kilometres in and around the Anningie and Barrow Creek Tin Tantalum Pegmatite fields in the north Arunta Region of the NT, which are considered highly prospective for lithium.
NTGS and other geoscientific research highlights that the Barrow Creek Suite source granites have enriched lithium contents comparable with the highest lithium granites in the NT.

    Other Projects
We have other exciting projects such as zinc, copper and uranium, but I will cover them in another post.

Please DYOR, hope you had a great Xmas and looking forward to 2017.
