At the moment, Somalia is financially destitute. If drilling can confirm the belief that Somalia is home to large oil deposits, all that will change. The financial benefits will start to flow well before a drop of oil is even pumped out of the ground. The agitators, though vocal will no longer thwart the progress as every day Somali's will start to dream of a better life.
Let's just hope the Puntland Government has the intestinal fortitude to take the necessary steps to ensure the way is cleared for its exploration partners to progress unimpeded.
