paddy61 has given you the answer, it looks to be a good strategy, if you were to be cashed out today then paddy61's strategy looks good, make sure you have stop loss as no body knows what DOW or POG will do tonight remember nothing is sure in the market and anything can happen in the market.
Looking at the price action I believe POG will go over $1000 soon and the market will tell us if profit taking will take place after that, but if it does then LGL will come down so you need some protections but long term LGL and POG will go higher as nothing has changed in the US.
If you wait and wait for sp to come down then the risk is you will miss out the run up.
At one point you have to take some risk that is the name of the game mate.
Depend on your risk factor, you can start buying at the level that you are happy with your money.
As paddy61 said buy three lots or whatever lots you are happy but not the whole lot in one hit, remember anything can happen.
