The Dividend Reinvestment Plan (DRP) enables you to apply to subscribe for additional shares.
The Dividend Election Plan (DEP) is a bonus share plan whereby the dividend entitlement is foregone for bonus shares in lieu of the dividend.
the difference lies in the tax treatment; franking credits are attached to the div in the DRP whereas DEP give you addl shares.
