    "During the strategic review process, we fielded interest from a number of parties in both our AmadeusBasin production assets and highly prospective sub-salt exploration prospects. Although we did notreceive a sufficiently attractive offer to progress a transaction, the recently announced Mereenietransaction, which will see New Zealand Oil & Gas and Horizon Oil purchase Macquarie’s 50% interestin the Mereenie gas field, confirms the value we see in our stakes in the Mereenie, Palm Valley andDingo fields".

    Says it all really in regards to what some one will pay for assets.
