    "Despite a growing reluctance of Chinese smelters to buy manganese ore and their drawing down of inventories, free-market ore prices are soaring. Consolidated Minerals reportedly announced that its third-quarter price will be $7.40 per Mn unit, or 12% over other high quality material."
