I reckon the price is up because the xstrata takeover has sent a message to investors that there may be some consolidation going on the nickel sector.
Lets face it CSM and Gilbertson and LIM and Xstrata, I'm sure they know very well that nickel is set to go through the roof.
They never buy if they aren't going to get a great deal.
