"making money" That depends on time frames. If you need weekly cash flow it would be very tough indeed. If you have more than your original investment plus the CPI increase over the years you held after you have paid tax on what you have sold then you have made money. If you actually sell you may loose.....but if you do not sell you do not loose anything, just like you would not make anything if you did nor sell say MMX at 5 bucks or BHP at 50 or Santos at 22. This is a buyers market and to create wealth you buy now, not sell now. Last every seller wins a prize sellers market was 2007. Dumping on the bear trap spikes is a good way to acumulate but not a good way to make regular mortgage payments. Seems simplistic.......why do so many choose to gamble with their money.....or worse the banks money, well to be brutal, we need them to make money some times.
