A share consolidation is like the bell of doom tolling.
Over the years I've seen many of these consolidations and I think all, without fail, have subsequently gone down.
For example Elders last year: a 10-1 consolidation took the share price from 15c to $1.50. Where is it now? Back down under 70c after, at one stage, dropping down to around 40c or so I recall.
There are loads more examples.
I sold my VLD shares last week under the expectation that a share consolidation of 8c (say) to 80c will then see the share price drift right back down again.
With property prices still bearish, my advice is to get out while you can, and then keep an eye out for the low point and changing expectations to get back in.
