- identification of cancer not picked up by traditional methods

They attach targeting ligands to the iron ore NPs. effectively become cancer seeking. So then they can use to identify where, etc. when either via contrast agent in MRI / MRX signatures, and other applications.
Its the combination of their precision NPs with the targeting ligand that can give the signature, when attached to cancer cell, magnetic orientation is maintained for a longer period, than those which are not attached.
