Obviously consolidation does not affect intrinsic value.
There are institutional investors, brokers and individuals that won't touch a company with billions of shares trading at fractions of a cent. Furthermore the USA quotation surely has better prospects post consolidation.
This is about attracting shareholders and accepting the forecasts I think its difficult to argue sensibly against it.
As to timing? If you look at the longer term now is the time.
