Entry to the ASX200 is not something that they apply for or are notified of. Generally, they merely receive notice from the ASX that they have made it into the index and then they are in. I can say that entry to the index is not instantaneous. A company must sustain a market capitalisation for a certain period of time (I would suspect this is at least a quarter) so it’s not quick entry or exit.
